Home MenuRobbinsdale 2040 Comprehensive Plan
On November 16, 2021, the Metropolitan Council notified the City of Robbinsdale that the City’s 2040 Plan meets all Metropolitan Land Planning Act requirements; conforms with the regional system plans including transportation, aviation, water resources management, and parks; is consistent with Thrive MSP 2040; and is compatible with the plans of adjacent jurisdictions.
Robbinsdale’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan includes projections for growth in population, households and employment in ten year increments and strategies for where the growth can be most appropriately accommodated. Those projections were negotiated with the Metropolitan Council and found to be consistent with the regional policy document known as Thrive MSP 2040.
Redevelopment is the key for growth in Robbinsdale and the plan identifies “opportunity redevelopment sites” where it is most likely to occur. The plan also includes appendices providing details of various infrastructure facilities and a bicycle and pedestrian plan prepared by a consulting firm paid for by Hennepin County.
