The Robbinsdale Police Reserve was established in 1972 as an auxiliary unit of the Police Department. Police Reserve Officers are unpaid volunteers who assist licensed sworn officers by performing community service tasks, non-criminal Police functions, and assist at natural disasters and other emergencies that require additional personnel.

Being a Reserve Officer provides an excellent opportunity to serve the community, learn new skills, and gain new experiences. Law enforcement students can gain valuable experience and insight into the law enforcement field.

The Robbinsdale Police Reserve Unit is made up of very dedicated men and women. Over the past several years, the Robbinsdale Police Reserve Unit has volunteered in excess of 4,000 hours per year.
