The city's core services are Public Safety, Maintaining and Improving Public Properties, Property Services, Recreation Services, Enforcing Community Codes, Residential Solid Waste Removal, and Administration. We offer services through the Deputy Registrar's Office including vehicle licensing and passport application acceptance. The City also operates the Municipal Liquor Store.
Public Safety includes the Police and Fire Departments. The Fire Department members are paid on call. Both units have offices in the public safety building, 4101 Hubbard Avenue North.
Maintaining and Improving Public Properties includes maintaining and updating city streets, parks including recreational features and trails, city buildings, drinking water wells and mains, sanitary sewers and lift stations, and trees on city boulevards and parks. Public works staff have offices at the Public Works Shop, 4601 Toledo Avenue North. Engineering staff and the City Forester have offices at City Hall, 4100 Lakeview Avenue North.
Property Services includes Building Permits and Inspections, Assessing, and Rental Property Licensing,
Recreation Services includes a variety of programs including indoor and outdoor activities and cooperative programming with neighboring cities.
Enforcing Community Codes includes Business Licensing through the City Clerk's Office, Zoning Regulation Administration, and a variety of other issues including but not limited to parking, yard maintenance, and sanitation - details can be found in the city code.
Residential Solid Waste: Removal is a service including pick up of garbage, recycling, and yard waste.
Administration includes general administration, legislation, finance, human resources, elections, and similar operations.
The City also offers notary services at $5 per stamp. Notary services are available Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM at the Information Desk at Robbinsdale City Hall (4100 Lakeview Ave N).
