Our Promise:
We endeavor to offer a variety of recreational programs for all ages to meet physical, emotional, social and educational needs. As a partner of Active Living Hennepin County, the City of Robbinsdale also strives to provide opportunities for individuals to be active in their daily lives which can improve health and quality of life. This includes designing places and programs to provide everyone with safe, convenient and affordable physical opportunities.
Our facilities include parks with a variety of amenities, various trails, and the Robbinsdale Community Gyms and Fitness Center (RCGFC).
Inclusion is more than the mere presence of people with disabilities or other special needs in general programming; it is the full and active participation of all individuals together. Reach for Resources, Inc. works with the City of Robbinsdale's Parks and Recreation Department to provide an extra staff person at a program when a person with a disability requests additional accommodations to be successful. For more information about Reach, please visit https://www.reachforresources.org or call 952-200-3030 to speak to a Reach staff member. You may also contact Matt Bazyk with the City of Robbinsdale to request a Reach staff member for a program. These staff members work together with coaches and instructors to blend in, providing the minimum support needed at any given time and encourage independence and skill building in all of the participants.
