On March 3, 2023, the Robbinsdale Police Department had requested the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to investigate the circumstances regarding the death of Khalil Azad which occurred in early July of 2022.  There are inquiries being made into the death of Mr. Azad.  We received information today from the BCA that they will conduct an investigation.

In attempts to provide as much information as possible, the squad and body camera videos of the three Robbinsdale police officers involved that evening are being made public.
