The City of Robbinsdale's Economic Development Authority has partnered with the nonprofit Center for Energy and Environment to help property owners make improvements through a home improvement grant. Now is the time to make your home improvement dreams a reality.

Grant Terms

  • 20% of eligible project expenses, minimum project costs of $4,000, maximum of $8,000 per calendar year.
  • Income limits apply.
  • No closing costs.
  • No monthly payments.

Eligible Improvements

  • Eligible improvements include most interior or exterior permanent remodeling and upgrades. Including solar, heating systems >=90% AFUE, air source heat pumps, and central air conditioning >=14 SEER.
  • Exceptions: luxury projects (pool, lawn sprinkler systems, playground equipment, saunas, etc.), furniture, and non-permanent appliances (unless part of a kitchen remodel).
  • 2 bids are required from a qualified licensed contractor.

Eligible Properties

  • 1-4 unit owner occupied residential properties in the City of Robbinsdale.
  • Properties held in a trust, townhomes, and individual condos are eligible.
